Organic inspections on farms are taking place again

bio.inspecta will start again on 04 May 2020 with nationwide organic inspections in Switzerland.

Due to the situation surrounding the new corona virus, bio.inspecta did not carry out organic inspections on farms in Switzerland in April 2020. In their letter of 22 April 2020, the Federal Office for Agriculture and the Federal Office for Food Safety instructed the cantons to gradually resume inspection activities from 4 May onwards.

Unfortunately, an end to the corona pandemic is not foreseeable in the short and medium term. Older people, people with pre-existing conditions or other persons at risk should continue to be protected. In such companies, the administrative area in particular is a challenge, since the distance regulations and the further specifications of the Federal Office of Public Health cannot always be observed.

As a responsible company, the health of our customers and inspectors is very important to us. Therefore, we have developed a new control system that allows us to carry out a remote assessment via WhatsApp video conference.

We will propose remote assessments as a control system when you register for an organic inspection. If you do not wish to do so, you can also choose an on-site audit.

In addition to the remote assessment, we will visit your company on site this year and conduct a short tour. During this tour, the still valid distance rules and hygiene measures can be well observed. Our first experiences with the new system have been consistently positive and we are confident that you will also be enthusiastic about it. We would like to thank you for your loyalty and flexibility during this difficult time.
