bio.inspecta AG and Bio Partner Schweiz AG, in Seon (Aargau) have signed an exclusive cooperation agreement. Its aim is the inspection and certification of organic retailers on the basis of the Swiss Organic Farming Ordinance. Certification enhances the credibility and trustworthiness of organic retailers vis-à-vis consumers. Organic products are instantly recognizable in the shop.

Bio Partner Schweiz AG has been in the market as an organic wholesaler since 1 October 1997. The public limited company is the leading wholesaler for organic products in the Swiss marketplace and was created by way of a merger of the three Swiss wholesalers Bio AG, Via Verde AG and Vanadis AG. The company employs some 190 people and has an annual turnover of approximately SFr 90 million (approx. € 50 million). The main consideration which led to this strategic closing of ranks is the sustainable development of both the specialized retail trade and the organic catering trade in a business environment characterized by the increasing concentration and internationalization of the markets for organic products.
