125 Years of SVIAL – A Jubilee of Encounters and Valuable Insights
On 27 May 2026, SVIAL celebrated its 125th anniversary. The event offered participants not only an opportunity to look back on the association’s history, but also many opportunities to discuss current topics and future developments within the Swiss agri-food sector.
The day began at Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland in Dietlikon. Following the welcome address, participants were divided into groups and guided through various thematic stations. They gained valuable insights into production processes as well as topics such as sustainability, water management, communication and marketing. The varied programme and the open exchange of knowledge made the visit particularly engaging.
Participants then travelled together by coach to Technopark Zurich. This part of the programme was equally well organised and provided an excellent opportunity to continue discussions and establish new contacts.
At Technopark, the members’ assembly was held, followed by a series of presentations on current topics in agriculture, nutrition, education and politics. The presentations attracted considerable interest and stimulated lively discussions and inspired new perspectives.
Particularly appreciated were the many opportunities for personal exchange. During breaks, at the networking aperitif and later during the joint dinner, numerous valuable conversations took place with representatives from federal and cantonal authorities, educational institutions, advisory services, research organisations, and the agricultural and food sectors. The diversity of participants greatly contributed to the event’s success.
For bio.inspecta, the anniversary provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and build new connections within the agri-food network. The many encounters and discussions once again demonstrated the importance of personal exchange for the continued development of the sector.
