Regenerative Organic Certified™
Regenerative Organic Certified™ (ROC™) is a standard for organic agriculture worldwide. It goes beyond basic organic certification by focusing on the three pillars of regenerative agriculture: soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness. ROC™ promotes farming systems that restore the planet, respect workers and animals, and create long-term agricultural resilience. The certification promotes farming systems that restore ecosystems, respect people and animals, and create resilient agricultural communities.
The certification process begins with pre-qualification, where operations must already hold a recognized organic certification (such as USDA Organic). Applicants then submit detailed documentation to the Regenerative Organic Alliance (ROA) outlining their practices across all three pillars. Bio.inspecta partners with the sister organization Ceres GmbH to conduct on-site evaluations to verify compliance. Based on performance, operations are awarded certification at one of three levels — Bronze, Silver, or Gold — reflecting their commitment to regenerative principles. To maintain certification, operations must undergo annual audits and continuous improvement to ensure lasting environmental and social benefits.
Regenerative Organic Certified™ helps businesses and consumers support truly sustainable agriculture by:
- Demonstrating Climate Leadership: Showcase measurable action in reducing carbon emissions and rebuilding soil health.
- Ensuring Ethical Production: Uphold high standards of animal welfare and fair treatment for farmers and workers.
- Building Brand Integrity: Strengthen consumer trust through verified regenerative and organic practices.
- Securing Long-Term Viability: Improve soil fertility, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience for sustainable production.
