Third-Party Verification

Third-Party Verification

Environmental, sustainability and climate-related claims, as well as sustainability labels, are becoming increasingly important in corporate communications. At the same time, the requirements regarding their transparency, credibility and verifiability are increasing.

With the EU Directive ‘Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition’ (EmpCo), the requirements for environmental and sustainability claims and private sustainability labels addressed to consumers are significantly strengthened. The new requirements will apply from 27 September 2026 and affect all companies that market their products or services within the EU. In Switzerland, too, the requirements for climate-related claims have been tightened.
Companies are increasingly required to demonstrate that claims such as ‘sustainable’, ‘environmentally friendly’ or ‘climate-neutral’ are based on objective, transparent and verifiable foundations.

Through independent third-party verification, bio.inspecta supports companies in assessing the compliance of their environmental, sustainability and climate claims and labels. In doing so, we review the claims and labels used, as well as the underlying evidence, and create a robust foundation for credible and transparent communication.
